Breast implants are becoming more popular for both cosmetic augmentation and post-mastectomy reconstruction, and are increasingly encountered in practices offering breast ultrasound. This workshop will provide the sonographer with a working knowledge of the various kinds of implants which may be encountered, and their ultrasound appearances. The workshop will address the important points to consider when scanning a patient with breast implants, in order to confidently understand the findings.
