There has been much interest in ultrasound assessment of carpal tunnel syndrome. Dynamic assessment of the carpal tunnel contents can providefurther diagnostic information regarding the presence of carpal tunnel syndrome, as well as helping to diagnose aetiological factors such as lumbrical muscle incursion into the carpal tunnel. It can also play a role in assessment of the post-operative carpal tunnel.
