Objective: To demonstrate the ultrasonography and Colour Doppler findings of adnexal torsion.

Methods : We studied all patients who presented with acute lower abdominal pain at our centre. Using ultrasonography ( B- mode ) and Colour Doppler we could diagnose adnexal torsion in all our cases which were proven intra operatively and on post surgical histopathology.

Conclusion: In correlation with clinical findings and using ultrasonography crtiteria , we can make a specific diagnosis of adnexal torsion and hence not requiring any further imaging modality to prove the same.
