  • Objective To detect cardial function in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) rabbits models before and after bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) with hydrogel composite injection .
Methods: Anterior AMI was produced in fifty-six rabbits and BMSCs with hydrogel composite were prepared. 1 week After AMI, fifty-two rabbits were divided into 4 groups and accepted epicardial injection: 1group of treatment (group A): BMSCs with hydrogel composite marked by BrdU; 2group of masculine control (group B): BMSCs marked by BrdU; 3group of materials (group C): hydrogel marked by BrdU; 4 group of blank (group D): fetal bovine serum. Echocardiography were performed before AMI, 1weeks after AMI and 4 weeks after epicardial injection.
Results: Compared with before AMI, rabbits of all 4 groups had significantly larger LVDd, thiner AW, lower LVEF, lower VS and VE(p<0.05) 1 week after AMI, which were more significant in group A(p<0.05). Compared with 1 week after AMI, group A and group B had significantly smaller LVDd, thicker AW, larger LVEF, lager VS and VE (p<0.05) 4 weeks after epicardial injection., which were more significant in group A(p<0.05); but there was no significant difference in group C and group D.
Conclusion: BMSCs with hydrogel composite can cure AMI effectively, decrease reconstitution of left ventricle and improve local systolic, diastolic function after AMI.
