Pictorial Review of Pancreatic Cystic Tumors: Differential Diagnosis with US, CT and MR
Although the radiologic and pathologic features of pancreatic cystic tumors are well known, differential diagnosis can be difficult. Definite diagnosis is occasionally possible when the lesion has a typical radiologic appearance, but the findings of various imaging modalities alone cannot provide accurate diagnosis in many cases. Ultrasound with state of art quality, thin section computed tomography with multiplanar reformation, magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography have emerged as modalities that can show additional information to diagnose accurately. In this exhibit, we present a wide variety of pancreatic cystic tumors to differentiate with US, CT and MR.
