  • Object: To illustrate the sonographic findings of the inguinal endometriosis.
Methods: A retrospective review was performed in four patients with inguinal endometriosis. All cases were confirmed by surgical resection.
Results: The patients’ ages ranged from 29 to 49 years (mean, 41 years). Sonographic findings of inguinal endometriosis demonstrated multilocular (n = 3) and unilocular (n = 1) cystic masses in the right inguinal area. The size of the endometriosis ranged from 2 to 4 cm (mean 3.2 cm). Three of the four patients had internal septa.
Conclusion: Sonography may be helpful in the diagnosis of inguinal endometriosis. Endometriosis should be included in the differential diagnosis of an inguinal cystic mass on sonography.
