Instructions for uploading Electronic Posters using ePresenter™
All Posters wishing to be considered for Prizes must be uploaded following these instructions by 25th June 2009.

Electronic posters should meet the following criteria:

Format
Electronic posters will be accepted in PPT or PPS format only.

Version
ePresenter currently supports Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 and 2003. If you are using PowerPoint 2007, please save the file as "PowerPoint 97-2003 Presentation".

Size
Electronic posters can be no larger than 50MB in size.

Images

  • JPEG images are the preferred file format for inserted images and for on-screen presentations.
  • Images should be inserted from the slide using the "insert/picture/from file" command.
  • Please ensure that your images fit inside the containing slide. You may have to resize them.
  • Please keep a minimum font size of 12.
  • For cross platform compatibility use fonts such as Arial, Verdana, Tahoma or Times New Roman.
  • Proof read and spell check your presentation.

Layout

  • Abbreviate your message and limit the number of words you put on a slide:
  • Avoid large text paragraphs.
  • Use bullet points as a prompt.

Colour
Choose colour combinations that make your text easy to read such as;

  • Light backgrounds (white, yellow, light blue) with dark fonts (black, navy blue, dark green).
  • Dark backgrounds (blue, purple) with light fonts (white, yellow, cyan).
  • Avoid using red or green in any fonts or backgrounds as they are colours that are difficult to read.

Animations
No animation properties are supported in ePresenter.

Movies
Embedded or linked movies and sounds are NOT supported in ePresenter.

All electronic posters must be uploaded by 18th August 2009.
In the weeks prior to the WFUMB2009 the Meeting Managers will ensure all accepted electronic posters are submitted correctly and 'approved' for viewing at the Meeting.
